After a very long break Driehoek returned to the world of cycling in season 67.
Purely looking at the amount of results (30) and wins (11) the return was an astounding success. In fact, both numbers are new records for Driehoek. However, manager Koen is guarding against too much optimism. 'The vast majority of our results was won in the lower divisions. More often than not Driehoek was the only participating team in a race, so we should not be too excited about it. Still, I think we can be happy with our season. Even after promoting to div 4 we managed another result with Perry Neccesary's third place in Ptuj - Maribor (U23) and Tölcséres Gedeon ended our season on a high note by joining the right breakaway and winning the sprint in Korumburra Grand Prix.'
When asked about Driehoeks immediate future Koen thoughtfully
replied: 'It depends a lot on if we can find more Bermudian cycling talents. We now have seven Bermudians in the team and aim for fifteen. But beside numbers we also need more potential stars. Although Perry Neccessary has not finished his neccessary training yet we do not yet have any other prospects. I guess we should all pray to the Bermudian cycling gods. And if neccessary Perry Neccessary will just have to fight for victory with his current teammates.'
